Today I teach a class on basic embroidery stitches at my local SCA populace gathering. I’m excited and a little nervous. It’s the first formal teaching I’ve done down here. Right now I’m gathering up supplies to take with me. I hope I have enough!
A quick update on the fox embroidery project: The second picture is truer to color, with a penny included for size comparison. This will be another pouch like the Double Eagle one (a project completion post is in the works). I’ve actually just finished all the red on the right fox, so I’m nearing the
Gearing up to start a new embroidery project: an embroidery kit for someone in the SCA. There will be a pouch (that’s what this is), a scissor fob, and a needle-roll. I can’t wait to start!

So, I finished some projects yesterday. Since moving to Austin, we haven’t had a chance to do anything SCA-related. Well, that’s not entirely true. We have been going to the Tuesday night fighter practices, but nobody (except the fighters) dresses up or anything. Next weekend there’s a Land Court, wherein we all dress up and
