Elen verch Phellip is a minor noble woman who lived in Monmouth, Wales in the 1380s, until she accepted a place as a lady in waiting to the Baroness of Bryn Gwlad, Ansteorra to escape her English husband, Edmund of York. She has a young daughter, affectionately known as Poppet, who came along with her.
Courtney Pritchard is a (happily) married stay-at-home mama, and hopeless history geek, who lives in Austin, Texas. Some of her mundane interests include photography, drawing, knitting, and running from zombies. She has a mundane blog that can be found at www.sycamoregrove.org.
